The first call of Horizon 2020, the European Commission’s programme for research and innovation, offers EREA the possibility to launch Future Sky’s first Joint Research Programme on safety.
The Horizon 2020 work programme on Smart, Green and Integrated Transport includes a topic suited for EREA’s ambition to start Future Sky’s first programme on aviation safety. The members of EREA are currently preparing a proposal to respond to topic MG-1.4-2014 Coordinated research and innovation actions targeting the highest levels of safety for European aviation. To this extend EREA is already closely cooperating with EUROCONTROL and the European Aviation Safety Agence (EASA), as well as industrial and academic partners.
